Man our wives would agree with each other. I hear the selective hearing thing a lot. I worked with nailguns inside homes 30 yrs installing trimwork & doors. Of course I didn't wear hearing protection. I am paying for it now .
I remeber watching Apollo 13 land on the moon and Neil Armstrong taking his first steps on the moon. Also when I got my License gas was .42 cents a gallon a pack of smokes were .35 cents a pack and you could get a real muscle car used for less than a $1,000.00 and it was all there most of the time. TV was black& white in our house. Most people had well water and those who could afford it had rotary dial phones on party lines like stated in a eariler post.
hey, when i was sixteen, gas was 1.03 a litre, got my first vehicle, a 65 F100, paid $1000 for it, but the only time i got to drive it was when we pulled it with the tractor. proabably for the best, probably would have cost me $5 just to get too town.
Man my old F100 got 10 mpg & it didn't bother me at all. I blewup the old 352 by overheating it & put a 390 out of a 69 police car in it. It made it into a quick little truck. I had lots of good times in the old thing.
i came real close to buyin a 428 out of a 69 Mercury to pop into my truck, just to get her to go.i'd hae drove her to school, just would have needed to be making about $20/hr
