removable top

I bought a '96 xlt about 2 months ago and was recently told that the last generation broncos didn't have removable tops. Is this correct? I assumed all the full-size ones had them. my '79 did for sure.

There is a 78 running around here with the pickup back on it. Cool. Looks like a 78 UNI.

The reason some say no is the presents of the third brake light in the shell. Most of us ignor that issue. Have never been questioned about it. I have thought about adding a third light from a Jeep or some such, but it is not important enough to me to get to.

OK. Thanks guys. I jumped in the back and looked at it more closely. It does appear to indeed come off, though I didn't try it. Phew.. for a moment I thought I was doomed... its one of the coolest aspects about broncos :P

True, true I have mine set up for lap belts like my 81 had. As soon as I can get a roll "bar" built it will have a sholder belt spot much like a Jeep.

Only some of us know what an open diff is. To most, a front and rear drive axle is 4x. And I never ever want to hear of anyone lowering a bronco, of any year. If you do- you deserve to be shot- there just is no excuse for this. I've seen this before. Can you do anything more retarded?
