Thanks
I just want to say thanks to everyone. The advice that I find in Ford trucks is unbelievable. It's the first place I go if I' m having trouble. Most of the time I don't have to ask questions because they have already been asked and answered. I have had a lot of Ford trucks from a 74 cc highboy, 79 Bronco, 93 cc F 350, 2004 cc F 350 and now a 97 rc F350. Unfornately I went away from Ford when I traded my 2004 for a new Dodge Cummins but all the while I was longing for the Blue Oval. Luckily my wife took over the Dodge and I finally got which I consider my favorite already the 97 1 ton with the Powerstroke. Well, thanks again and I'll be looking forward to your insight.

Welcome! We're glad you're here. I agree with what you say. This is definitely the first place to look when you have a question. It can be dangerous to ask a mechanic the question if you don't already know the answer. A lot of them will flat-out lie to you or make something up to get your confidence and get you to spend your repair dollars in their shop. They know that once they get your truck in their shop it can be very profitable for them even if they don't know a single thing about diesels. If you come here, however and discover the right answer then you can use that information to find a competent mechanic by asking him questions and seeing if he knows what he's talking about.
