Check Engine Light Went Off?????
Having trouble figuring this one out. My 97 250LD W/5.4 started missing the other night and check engine light was flashing. Since this is the 3rd time this has occured, I knew what it was, a coil pack. When I drove it the next day, the light was on, but no miss and after driving for a few hours, the light went out and the truck hasn't missed since. I read the code (304) and bought a new coil pack to install, but I question if I need to change it yet. I also thought a "hard code" will cause the light to stay on until it is removed. It was still there when I checked it with the scanner even though the light went out! Any thoughts?
Thanks
