It's just as easy for me to do it..from memory
F10 = F100 4x2
G = 302 2v
P= Plant built at Twin Cities (new for 1979)
EG667? = Consecutive build number (March 1979)

I believe he was talking about searching the VIN history, such as how many times the ownership changed, if it was salvaged, etc. If you find a way, I would like to know also. It could be partially that the VIN history records just don't go back that far.

Well to start with he never posted 11 . he only posted 10.
He said he is researching the VIN#.... which could mean ownership or what all those characters mean.
If it is ownership he should BUY the information from the the appropriate site.
If not, he knows what the numbers stand for.
See how important it is to put as much info as possible in the the initial post ?

VIN # search, Specificly asking Dennis as he was able to post most of the answers by posting the pictures of all the break downs of the 1977-79 Vin Tags when answering the guys question on the 1979 4x2 F100. Ok, now my question. In those break downs, I did not see the code for a F350 Super Cab 4x4 ? I am looking at purchasing one, with the vin # X36SKDG5633. I cant find a X36 any where in the posting, can yiou help ? I want to make sure it is a true F350 4x4, Thanks
