I just got a 2004 F-350, CC, 6.0L PSD with 95,000 km on it. The powertrain warranty is still good to 160,000 km. Here comes the question... I went to DSG diesel performance and tried out the new Bully Dog Power Pup downloader (Just a 4 day free trial) supposedly the program clears itself out after 4 days, and you are left with your original stock settings. If I need to take my truck in for warranty work, are they going to be able to tell this was done, and will it void my warranty???
My biggest concern is whether or not the product demo is traceable, I guess its tough to say (unless I asked the bully dog people). I just hope I didn't flush away 60,000 km of warranty!
I had the trial done on my 04 and it was great. The guy that did it said there's no way it can be traced. When I went to get the 06e17 reflash my dealer said the truck could not be flashed due to a programmer. The truck had been bone stock except for that.He wasn't to happy to find that but he manually flashed the truck and it worked. He never said anything after it was done.Bottom line he found it.I don't know really what to tell you but that's my story. It's your call.......
