Well it was bound to happen I guess. Wouldn't you know it. Here's the strange part. They took very little really, left my stereo facepate CD's etc. They took mainly information. All of my factory owners booklet and the manuals which included my camper certification, warranty info, Keyless entry code card, registration, and the original window stickers. This along with my winch remotes makes me think it's only the beggining. I believe they're after my new winch and brushgaurd setup. Pray for them I don't catch them when/if they comeback.
Here's a question- Anyone know how I can replace all of those factory manuals and information? Let me know.
Thanks

Almost makes me think they're looking for something to go off for identity theft. One big concern about them coming back is they have keyless entry code card which is the hard coded entry code. They can come back and just unlock the door themselves. What'd the police have to say about? Strange they didn't touch the cds.
The truck is an 04 SD CC Lariat 4x4. The police actually just left, they came to file a report. They were also suspicous of them not taking the CD's especially because they are easy to get rid of the officer said. Pretty sure that the thief or thieves are either trying to get a key made so they can take the whole thing or they're trying to get to my peronal accounts, etc. Oh yeah they also took my garage door opener. I'll be sleeping light with Mr. .44 within close reach. I'm sure this is not done.
Any way to call someone at the local dealership or a garage and get it locked up inside for the night? Then get the codes changed etc tomorrow. Maybe the police or a tow company has an impound lot.
Go out and unplug your Garage Door right now.. Don't leave that plugged in.. As for your truck.. Do you have keys? If you do go disconnect your batteries and lock your doors manually. .That way the Keypad is useless
Oh be a redneck like me and put your truck on cinder blocks LMAO
I wish I could pull it in the garage but the 6" lift and 37's won't allow it. I put a steering wheel lock on it but if they come back that will only detour them for a while.
All of your factory information is still available from the dealer, if it was purchsed recently. At least within the last 5 years. Even a copy of the window sticker is still in the original file that the dealer maintains for about 5 yrs.
Here is the biggie, if they did not steal any items that most dirtbags would have taken, then you might very well be in for a future break-in. Most likely at a mall, or other parking lot. Did the information contain the key code, that the dealer provides you when you purchase a new vehicle to have replacement keys made? If yes, then it will be very easy for the criminals to go to the (any) Ford dealership, and have keys made that will give them the ability to just drive off in your ride.
I hate to be the worst case scenario guy, but letting a real big dog sleep in your truck for a while, may not be a bad idea.

I'm telling you.. if you truly want it safe yank the batteries.. They wont get far without em..
Id bet their going to try and finish what they started about a week from now, when your truck is parked at your house while your asleep. If you really want to put an end to it, I say set them up. You have the bait, just set the trap.
everybodys overlooking the fact that the keypad code can be changed quite easily from what ive read...if you are unaware of how to go about it let someone (me) know and i can send you the directions out of the beloved manual.as for the garage door. if its a newer model pull the cord so its a manual open and slide the locking bar in and slap a padlock on the thing and be done with it...i gotta tell ya it isnt worth going to prison for the rest of your life for a fully insured truck guy..think what you do if you run into these scum! good luck keep us posted!
