Rotella Tsb?

Is There A Tsb That Says Not To Run Rotella, Ive Seen A Few People Say That The Stealer Told Them Not To Use It, If So Does That Include Rotella Syn?

There is and will never be any such document. It has been discussed several times between Beachbumcook and myself--LOL. If a dealership made that recommendation is was personally their own opinion and NOT that of Ford corporate.

So far it is all hearsay, and speculation, neither Ford, Shell, or Ashland (Valvoline) will make anything more than generalized statements, as Tim (Ncc..) has already eluded to. I srongly recommend to not exceed 5k intervals using any dino oil, regardless of brand, as the lab reports don't tell whats going on inside of the spools of the injectors, or the turbo. (coking)

Now thats advice I can use, will change to synthetic in 5k miles. I will use 5w-40 year 'round if this forum feels thats the best route to go

I have used Rotella T 15W40 since the first oil change. Almost 70,000 miles later and no problems to report related to the oil.

My servicing dealer is a former Ford heavy truck dealer and they still do heavy truck service. When you get a oil change there they give you a choice between Motorcraft or Rotella T oil.
