Exhaust work

Hey guys, im new, nice to be here. I have a '96 F150 with the 300. Im wondering what setup I should go with to make this truck have some throatiness to it? i plan on takin it to a shop, exhaust isnt my expertise. thanks

your not going to get a lot of throatiness out of your inline six. They have a unique sound and will never sound like a v8. I would recommend a flowmaster after your cat.

yeah your never gonna make it sound like a v-8, you would be better served to try to make it sound like a cummins that is missing a turbo or an old farm tractor.

Or just keep it quiet and flowing well. I'm using a dual 2.5 in single 2.5 out stock replacement muffler for a diesel. Seems to work good. I still get a bit of blub blub at idle.

I have a hedman header (6 into 2) and the duals running to a dual in dual out flowmaster and then coming out the side in front of the passenger tire. Used 2.5" pipe and it sounds really really good.
