Have a similar problem with my 2006 F250 battery. Doesn't seem to hold a full charge. I don't run the truck every day and if it sits for a week or so the truck turns over noticeably slower than normal. I would think this is covered under warranty?
It was covered under the warranty. I was just wondering who the manufacturer of the POS was.
I drive mine daily, but I noticed it didn't seem to start as fast as it normally does a few days ago. We finally had some cold weather this week and it barely started. It reset the clock & radio and dimmed the lights all the way down and barely started.
This one dies and I will just stop at Deka and buy one from them. Their plant is 10minutes from here. The heck with the warranty if they are crap.

It's just a little bump in the road H1. A very little bump at that!
All Ford batteries are not a POS. I had a 2000 F150 and that battery lasted 5 years with no issues and was run flat a few times and still came back. I am wondering if there was a bad batch of Ford batteries in 2006? Also, 650CCA seems a bit low for a 5.4L truck. I think the battery in the F150 with the 5.4L is 750CCA.
Sorry but Never had problems with motocraft batteries .
I would take to dealer any have them chk to see if you have a amp draw on the batteries. There have been some newer trucks with the accessory delay relays sticking on .also there have been complaints of water intrusion in connectors causing shorts that don't blow fuses but draw down the battery.
Also unless you insist that they chk it.
Some dealer gimmicks are to not chk to have you come back again to get Ford to pay for more warranty work, thus this is how they stay a float in slow times.
My concern is if it is something else causing the batteries to die. The batteries might be ok. This could be the affect of some other problem like the alternator or some other electrical problem/short.
What sort of warrenty is on the battery? the one in my 02 is starting to act up (if I dont drivce the truck in 4-5 days it dies) but i'm guessing I'll just buy a new one

hey ,mine does the same thing!never thought too much about it cause it always starts.but if it sits for more than say, four days it will roll over slower than if you drive it everyday.will they warranty it if it's just rolling over slow?mine only has 13,600 miles on it but it's a couple years old now.
