Went offroad today in the Oklahoma Ice (Coyote hunting)
Absolutely impressed with the ability of my 4x4 Screw with 20" Pirellis
I've been in the mud and dirt plenty - here you don't get many chances to get into snow and ice, but with the recent storms I got into some pretty bad stuff.
Just pulled right through - very awsome. Pretty darn good tires I guess.
Good looks, good ride, after they round back out, that is. Seems to be wearing ok also. A little bumpy for the first few miles when it's cold out though. Haha
I wanted to get the 20's on my truck, but I about flipped out when I priced a set of the 20's. I plan on keeping my truck for a long time and I don't want to take out a loan just to put tires on my truck, not to mention the limited selection of tires as compared to my 17's. Glad I went w/ my 17's, but I do like the 20's.
One thing about so many manufacturers offering 20s now the prices are dropping, the local tire shops now offer aftermarket 20s with rubber for $1800-$2000 brand new.
I also was in the OK ice with my 06 4x4 with the 20" scorpions, was very impressed, looking at the tires it didn't look like it would do as well as it did. Stopping on the slippery stuff was very good as well as getting through the snow.
