Brake Problem?
First time we noticed it it was because it had melted the plastic part of the locking hub. we figured it was just a bad hub and replaced it but it still gets hot.
1> A caliper piston or slides hanging up
2> A brake hose collapsed internally, not allowing flow back to the master
3> A hydraulic problem allowing the RF the pressurize more than the LF (unlikely)
Do this.. remove the caliper, and using a piston retraction tool try to push the piston back into it's bore. If it goes back smoothly and easily then take a close look at the pads and slides, make sure none are frozen in position.
If the piston is stiff, then open the bleeder and try it... if the piston then retracts easily, the brake hose is the culprit.
You might also want to take a close look at the rear brakes.. if there is a problem back there, it can cause the front brakes to do more of the braking force causing them to overheat (take a REAL close look at the right rear)
Good luck!
