Does anyone know the correct way to set the station push buttons on a 50-51 orginal radio. My radio is cool and works. All the ***** work correct. But for some reason,I cannot figure out how to set the push buttons. I have tried pulling them out all the way,and also turning them. Left and right. Thanks !!!
I have a NOS radio installation kit for a 1948.I think it would work on all 1948 to 1950's if anyone interested contact me.Russell
Okay, what is a 48-50 radio "installation kit"? Don't 48-50 radios just bolt into the dash like most other radios? Mine never had one. There wasn't even a hole in the cowl for an antenna...
It has everything to properly mount the radio under the dash for a factory look.It has a template on where to mount antenna on cowl.It says for a 1948 Ford truck and I also have a radio but not sure if it works.Has anyone else seen one of these kits? russell

This must be to mount a non-stock radio under the dash, perhaps? There would be no point to mount the stock one there. How can it be a "factory look" if it's under the dash?
Good point Vern, maybe it is some kind of after market kit to mount a certain radio.I don't know for sure.It was in with some other NOS Ford parts I bought. Thanks,Russell
It's probably a kit to mount either a much easier to find Ford car radio or some other after market radio. The Ford truck radio fits in the hole above the speaker.
This is the kit I have seen on eBay quite a few times:
This one is made to mount a Ford car radio into the stock radio hole in the dash.
