Hey guys. I have a question about the my truck. First of all have any of ya'll had this prob...when I accelerate lightly or just cruizing and have to give her a little go pedal she bucks/stutters a bit. If I give her a bit more go pedal it stops. If I just romp on it and lay her to the floor I have plenty of power. The stuttering only appears under light pressure on the go pedal. I took a buddy of mine to a diesel performance shop to pick up is truck and asked the mechanic what's up with mine. He seems to think its the pedal throttle position sensor. Which for those that do or don't know what this is, it's on the top part of the go pedal and has an oval plug on it. I can't find one at any of the parts houses and the stealership wants $770.50 for it. OUCH!! Ford only sells this part as the pedal assembly with both sensors on it, the other one is the idle sensor. Does anyone know where to get one any cheaper? Or what else my options are.
Thanks forman it has to be for our psd s. the plug is oval on ours. I'll keep looking I guess. I don't know what to do. $770.50 is toooooo much right now for a STUPID sensor. GGGRRRRRRRRR
I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY TRUCK. does it kind of stutter alittle when it shift too? I have been told that my torque converter is failing. sense i have no clue as to what to do right now, i will let you put a new throttle sensor in yours and see if that fixes the problem. lol.let me know if that solves your problem. Thanks Rob.
