Think I might have a problem
Recently I have noticed a couple of strange sounds from my engine. Both are hard to describe, but I'll try my best. First seems to be when under a fair amount of load. It is like a screaching type sound, metal on metal, my frist thought was something with the turbo. Second is a humming/buzzing type sound, kinda like the truck back up alarms(like on larger commercial trucks). It seems to do it mainly when I'm on the throttle, but i've also heard it while braking.
I've heard alot of noises coming from brakes, and other normal squeels and what not, but these are different. I have MBRP T-Back and a SCMT. Anymore, I run the SCMT on economy when not towing, tow safe when towing light, and off when towing over 5,000lbs.
Before I have had issues with coolant blowing from the bottle, which the dealer finally replaced the EGR cooler, and that helped some, but it still blows a bit.
Could any of this be related? Any other ideas?
