Your awsome Bill I'm going to order my Overhaul Kit for a 72 Comet C-4 and see what Happens I don't Think there will be much difference. But this is more than I new Last night I was guessing my 351c was out of a 74 LTD Wagon from a little Historical research . Thanks again Craig
The C-4 gasket and seal kit fits many years. The clutches will be the same from the mid 60's thru the mid 70's. The front and rear seals are the same too.
Check the kit when you get it to see if there's a tailshaft bushing. If not, get one. Those bushings develop burrs, that can tear a rear seal to bits. You might also replace the bushings for the shift linkage on the trans and steering column.
