What transmission???
My sister is moving from Colorado Springs back home to Central PA next weekend. Her 2001 Ranger's transmission went bad recently. She is going to haul it back on a trailer. I want to try and locate a trans for her and put it in so she can have her ride back on the road. She is not very car (truck) knowledgable so she has no idea which trans she has. It's a 2001 Ranger 4x4 automatic and she thinks it's a 3.0 (does that sound correct?). What trans would be in the truck?

ill be you $20 i can tell you how to fix it for under $100. please give me some idea of what its doing. if its "slipping" its prolly a leaky valve body and i have a fix for it. these trannys (the 5r44e and the 5r55e) are notorius for this defect.
