Is a 79 Dana 60 front axle a direct bolt in to a 75 3/4 ton or does the difference in frame widths affect the perches on the axle??? Someone told me a 78-79 44 front was a direct bolt in so I'm assuming a 60 would be too.
Yep, it'll bolt in without any major issues. Frame width differences only start cab back in these ol'rigs. One thing you may have to change is one of your shock locations, if I 'm not mistaking on 78/79 one shock is sitting rear of the axle tube and the other in the front. My 78 Dana44 axle is like this, I will be putting it on my 74 Highboy.
You will probably have to shorten up the front drive shaft, due to the pinion yoke being closer to the transfer case on the Dana 60. The housing is just bigger.

You're right about that, I didn't have that problem cause I have a 4 " suspension lift.
