Whoda thunk it?
My truck had a noticable "thump" when accelerating from a stop or giving it gas after "coasting". Racerguy had mentioned that the slip yoke might need grease. Last weekend I greased the slip yoke with Motorcraft (Teflon) slip yoke grease. I test drove the truck when I was done, and unfortunately, the "thump" was still there.
Well, today I noticed that the thump is gone. Must have taken a few days for the grease to migrate around. Thanks (again) Racerguy.

ya my truck does the same thing... only when i let off the accelerator and coast a bit... but it seems to only do it when the truck kicks into O/D after i start to coast... maybe its just a quincidence ( i know i spelled that wrong) but its worth a shot.. thanks
