Sounds like you have a bad u-joint on one or both axle shafts.

well i poped of the cap to day and found that the carier was moveing to then i cheacked out the rest of the wockings and thay were fine so i not find it to be the barrings on the carier need to be replaced and the local shop looked at it and agre my ? now is what would be involved in rebuilding the axel from what i gather it would be just gears and a rebuild kit with barings and seals and a dial indictor so dus anyone know of a online step bye step or atlest an overview of how to do this.

If it was my truck I would pull the carrier out have the old bearings and shims removed keeping very close track of the shims on each side. also make sure you don't mix the carrier bearing caps up. Have new bearings and replace the same shims on the same side install it in the case. I'm sure the clearances will be close enough. TOO TIGHT IS WORSE THAN TOO LOOSE.

I agree with this approach as well.

jaws gear, Randys ring and pinion, national drive train. i am not affiliated with any of these guys and I have no idea of the quality of their parts. These sites have instructions but,... i am just looking for rebuild parts myself for a dana 70.

If you do not have the pullers and knowledge installing new beariungs and shiums in a rear, well it is not for the novice. In a truck that will be driven the rear end needs to be set up correctly. A truck that only gets driven once in a while and not under power at highway speeds can have a marginal rear. I just went through 4 rears from a junk yard. All were drove in and all were shot. Bearing caps on backwards, poor shimming etc.
