paint problem
a guy at work has a fx4. his truck was used when he bought it, but had one of those rust warrenties.they denied his rust claim after making him jump through hoop ,they told him ford has admitted to having faulty paint in 2002.his warrenty is now void they said.anyone have any info or thougt,advise i can pass on to him?

I have only seen it in the tailgate and lower doors and only back east where it is really humid. If the warranty is out he is SOL unless he has documented evidence hat he brought it in under warranty and noted it.

yes the rust is at the tailgate and doors some on the hood.this is an add on warranty they have said they wont cover the doors and tailgate because the rust cant be seen without opening them and they wont cover the hood they say ford has admitted to bad paint issues so now they are voiding his warranty.we are trying to find were ford has admitted to bad paint.and no the rust isnt real bad yet thats why he tried to get fixed.
