Cold start and running problems with 7.3L
I have a 99 F350 7.3 diesel that just started this. When it is cold it will start right up but if you try and drive it it will flutter and want to die untill it warms up. Also yesterday it did this and did die and I liked to never got it started. I let it warm up and it ran great, I also noticed that when you take off when it is cold it has nooooo power what so ever. This truck runs ok after it warms up. Can anyone steer me in the right direction I know very little about diesels so I hope I can learn something This forum has helped me on other things so I know I will get some help on this. Thanks for any Help.....

when was the last time you did oil and filters? oil is really important on these beasts especially when it gets cold. I'm pretty sure I've seen these symptoms on a thread before but can't remember what or where it was can we get a moderator to bump this over to the 7.3 forum. There are plenty of experts ofer there that will get you hooked up and refresh my memory. Good luck and welcome to FTE
