I have a 06 Explorer with the 4.0liter V6. Ive been fighting with ford for a few months now. When remote starting in the morning the car will attempt to start about 7 times until its able to start. It tries to start and it gives up and the horn honks. Then it keeps repeating until about 6-7 times it starts and it starts idling really rough but balances out. Then after about 10 min of warmup. Then I take off and it starts to stall and nothing inside the car blinks and no errors. But the car starts to jerk and after a few min its fine. Its been checked by ford they sayed they had to update the computer to correct a sensor issue. But I'm still seeing the problem on cold mornings. I think its a sensor problem as my 2000 e-250 originally had the same type of issue. But ford can never find the sensor problem.
