Ive been thinking of upgrading to an 07 f350. Is the 6.0 that much better than the 7.3?? My 02 has 110k and has been great but I think it may be time to upgrade. Thanks for any feedback.
Go drive one, there awesome, and people say they pull circles around the 7.3s. I sure wouldnt be hessitant to buy an 07. I think theyve finally got all the bugs worked out of them
First off, the 6.0 is an awesome platform. Today, it is performing great. You are going to get both sides, to say the least.
Secondly, are you aware of the fact that the 6.0 is being replaced with the 6.4L? You will have to decide if you want to get a bonafide workhorse diesel now, the 6.0. Or, wait a little longer and get a 6.4L which MAY or MAY NOT have issues that need to be addressed.
Then don't hesitate to buy a 6.0 now. You will love it. After all, by now (meaning it is now the year 07), if you buy an 06 or 07, you will have everything newer vs. the truck wrapped around the 7.3, since its been so long since it was produced. Perhaps there are creature comforts that you can use to justify it! Just two cents.
I recently traded my 04 6.0 (with no problems)for an 07 6.0,and let me tell you,It was the best decision I ever made! The 07 drives/feels/stops and gets up an go's so much better than my 04 ever did,and I really liked my 04.The truck seems to be so much better built now that they(ford)know what issues they were having and having them fixed.I would highly recommend anybody even thinking about an 07 or even an 06 to do it!I have NO regrets on trading my 04.It was kinda hard letting her go at the dealer,It's like leaving apart of you behind.....LOL.

If you don't plan on keeping it past warranty go for it. Otherwise get out your checkbook.......................
