AIH Delete

So while my truck sits in my garage waiting for a new u-joint, i decided to take a look at the AIH that was stuck in the new 5 way manifold. I took it off and thought to myself, ill just cut the element out of this and the stud out of the front of it sence i have no AIH on my truck andways it cant hurt anything. As anyone else done this or am i just making a stupid post?

Pull it out, cut it off, remove the wires and be done!

you can get a boost fitting that will plug the hole for about 30 bucks at black cloud diesel.

If you go this route, be sure to grind it down or you are just putting a restriction right back in there. It projects about 3/4 of an inch into the intake...

Cutting it off won't hurt anything. It's just not as clean. Like Pop said, a Cummins drain plug fits right in that hole, and they're only a few bucks at the auto parts store.

I got a boost fitting in the 5 way already so i just need to block off the hole. Ill probably go and buy the drain plug when i get to the part store again. I was just bored and went and experimented today.

Yeah, I started out years ago with a plug, 20 or 22mm??? I cannot remember. When I got my gauges, I drilled and tapped that plug too and put my boost gauge fitting there. No big deal really.
