Unhappy Injector woes continue!

Truck went back to the dealer this morning after it started fogging the neighborhood for the first couple of miles till it warmed up. It's had five injectors replaced in the last two months. They called this morning and told me a couple more were bad. They have to order them and they'll be in tomorrow. I wish Ford would have just replaced them all at the first sign of trouble. It has cost them more in labor for three visits, since they will have now replaced seven out of eight, than if they would have just done them all the first time.

Believe it or not, this is the way Ford prefers to do it. I've had several trucks that had 5 or 6 bad injectors, and they would not authorize a whole set. I guess they don't mind taking a chance fixing what it needs at that particular time to try and save a buck, rather than just taking care of the inevitable.

Yeah this is one thing that ticks me off about ford, A friend of mine has slowly been losing injectors on his 05 ford since a gell up last winter, Then the other day it wouldnt hardly start and it was running rough again, drove it straight to the chevy dealership and is now in a duramax I cant blame him though, he couldnt drive it without worring about losing another injector

Yes I have the latest flash. This is the fourth time it has been in. As a matter of fact, I just got it back yesterday and when I started it up after work today it still puking heavy white smoke for about a half mile down the road and then clears right up. Kind of funny at one point, as it was clearing up it looked like an old man smoking a pipe. Puff, puff!

My truck does the exact same thing. It starting to **** me off. My truck went back to the dealer a few weeks ago and they did the flash and cleaned my egr and it still does it. Mine scared me the other day, it was 18* out and my truck fired right up, but sounded like it was on 4-5 cylinders, i thought the damn thing was going to rattle itself into peices. But within 10 secs it was fine. So i know how you feel.

Ive read a lot about a flash that cycles the injectors after shutting off the ignition. My 06 dosn't do that. Should it? I had it in for a flash about 4 months ago. Havn't recieved any recalls on it since.

it is a tsb that was released in november. it is best if you get this, regardless of the aggravating noise due to the performance issues when these trucks are cold.

Im not sure off the top of my head, but i just did an oil change and used the wieght the owners manual suggested for colder operation. While I was at it, i drained the seperator too. The fuel filters ore only about 6k miles old, and I use the winter blend power service in every tank. I have a feeling the truck is going back agian, I just hate loosing it for a day.

the o5e15 was a recall that has been out for a while. tsb 6-22-03 is the one i am referring to. now, if any reprogramming recalls are performed, this will be with it becausee all of the flashes are cumulative but it has to be after nov 1 06.
