door failure
All the doors on my fathers 97 Explorer seem to be failing (of course, all at once).
The drivers door will not unlock from the outside (via key and keyless) and the rear drivers side/front passenger side door will not open no matter if it is locked or unlock. I however can still open all the doors from the inside. When I lift up the outside handle I can feel that nothing is connected to the other end of the handle pushrod.
I did fix one door awhile back which broke at the plastic coupler that secures the handle-pushrod to the locking mechanism. Of course it was plastic and the weakest link failed.
Does anyone know if any of the door hardware is available separately?
