Does anyone's dog eat kleenex or papertowels? My dogs love to and they will even pull them right out of the box. Just curious if my dogs were just crazy or what.
I'd have to say so. But I've left a box sitting near each of my dogs for the night to see if anything happens. They've been around them before and never bothered them.
When one of my dog's was a pup he loved to empty boxes of Kleenex, I went through about two of the big boxes in a week. He finally got out of that stage but every now and then he will grab one out of the trashcan and snack on it.
My dog thinks it's a smorgasbord when one of the grand kids forgets to flush. She won't eat the paper towels or tissues though, only the contents. Sometimes I find the paper strewn about the kitchen or hall.
I don't want to sound grotesque....BUT......Look at your dogs "puppy-bomb" out in the yard sometime......You'd be amazed what you might found in there....Pieces of shoelace.....coins......cloth, etc.. I'm no "dog whisperer", but Labrador retrievers LOVE aluminum (at least the ones I've known).........I've seen pooches turn a coke can into a 20-foot strip of aluminum with nary a cut on poochies muzzle or mouth....go figure!
Dogs: Can't live without 'em....can't live without 'em......
When mine was a pup, he would shred a whole box of tissues or any paper towels in his way. Now he only likes the used ones, and will rummage in the garbage if he is bored.
I know another Irish Terrier owner who's puppy ripped the toilet paper, holder and all. off the bathroom wall......twice.
