03' 6.0-brake Issues
I just had the front rotors and pads replaced. After about a week I heard a metallic rattle, and crawled under the truck to see what was loose and drivers side front caliper had the slide pin bolts gone. One hole looks like the threads are stripped. Any ideas? I think the rotors and pads were junk so if I will replace them what kind are good? Are there aftermarket calipers that are better than stock?

Not only would I demand repair,but make them give you your dollars back.That #%!^ is uncalled for. Threaten them with you could have killed your family di=ue to their negligence. If you think about it....you could have been seriously injured..Might have to file a suit..Get it fixed for free man..dont let those sorry so AND SO'S get away with that crap..good luck.

If they give you the slightest bit of resistance, start a complaint with your states Secretary of State. They are usually the dept that enforces consumer/business complaints for the auto repair industry. A few years back, a repair shop forgot to put a cotter pin on a front wheel bearing on one of my medium duty trucks when they did kingpins. A week later, the wheel fell off going down the road. Damaged the rotor, caliper, spindle, etc. They went ahead and repaired it and charged me $1500 without an approval, thinking I would go along with it because I was a good customer. I wrote a check, picked it up, then drove straight to the bank and cancelled the check. I submitted a claim to the Michigan S of S and the dealer lost. They cancelled my bill.
Don't EVER let anyone push you around on auto repairs. Too mandy scammers and bad mechanics out there.
