Plug Blow out Question

My 2002 F150 5.4L had the plugs replaced at 118k miles. I have since driven the truck approximately 12k miles with no problems until last night when one of my plugs blew. My question is how do I know that the mechanic that changed the plugs did not mess up my truck versus the common and well documented problem of short threads on this model? Is there any way to find out? Thanks

Hello and Welcome to the Site!

If you were able to drive 12,000 miles on it I'd say it would be impossible to prove that they did something wrong. Have you tried to install a helicoil?
