Okay, time for switches, where to mount
Since upfitters are all the rage, I'm debating what to do. I need to add 2 switches right now (air and high idle) and want to have the room to add more. So I have 3 options as I see it.
1. find some random places to put switches somewhere in the cab (would look bad in my opinion)
2. take a plaster mold of the cubby hole, then build a box to house 4 switches in there (lots of work, but it would look decent)
3. buy an upfitter box and just wire it since we don't have the plug and play for the wiring.
Does the upfitter package fit in our cubby hole ? I'm not worried about the wiring, I can do that myself. Does anyone have a photo of what the back of it looks like ???

i was thinking about cutting out a piece of stainless steel to fit over the cubby hole in my early 99 then mounting the switches in it..you could velcro the stainless to the dash or drill 2 hiles in the very back of cubby and put in some straps to screw the stainless plate to..that way no holes are visable on the dash if you ever remove it....just a thought...
