So, I have a 93 F-150 and well when its under power (in Drive) it wont let me put my foot in it. It will act like its going to die. It seems to kill the injectors and even once Im past 30 it stops the killing thing but it still wont let me put my foot in her. When I put her in nuetral or Park it will allow me to run her hard like I can rev her up no problem. Any takes on this?
My father in law bought a professional type reader before he passed away, it pulls up codes when others won't, cost $400 if I could get my hands on it I could see about testing your truck.
We can try maples. Like I got a 300 dollar one from "big o" and it just said that the vehicle was not found. But I can drive the truck fine if I shift the first 2 gear manually. I was talking to a guy he said its probably a bad connection due to the fact alot of my gauges stopped working same with some of my indicator lights.
If no vehicle was found, you need to locate the ECM and unplug it, check it's connection, then unplug and check all connections, get some dielectric grease for them, use it before reconnecting the plugs. You have a corrosion issue maybe, or ground problem. Try replacing the ground straps, the one from battery to engine, and engine to body, you never know, that could help you, I've seen gauges fail due to loss of ground.
I can definitely do that. Ill go through it all tonight. I think I can get it into my friends garage. The truck is acting like its going into overdrive too soon. Its weird. Its a first in my knowledge of trucks
