the "duh" wasn't called for. I have ordered parts before for vehicles and aircraft and then needed to find a plug to plug an unused port because the manufacturer assumed everyone used that port. I asked the question out of experience. I.E. my billet oil filler cap did not come with a plug, they assumed it was going to be used for an external oil filter.
Is the stock elbow made of steel or aluminum? If its steel anyone with a chop saw and a mig welder could easily make their own in 20 minutes with a piece of mandrel bent tubing for the cost of say 15$....

its alum....
I have decided to get the one from intakelbows.com because it is mandrel bent pipe but the one from accufab is cast and very rough on the inside...while the other is nice and smooth.......
Figures it would be made form aluminum, i have read online that you can weld aluminum with a mig by using different gas but i dont think this would be a good part to learn on, especially since they have to hold about 24psi.
same here i went with a mandrel bent aluminum intake elbow also that is not accufab, i bought it from Dfuser.com along with $650 worth of autometer cobalt2 gauges, still waiting on fedex truck to bring them to me.
the one from dfuser.com looks like the same elbow that puredieselpower sells, and I believe the price is a lot lower, 149.00. that is the one i'm going to order, not the accufab one.
has anyone had a small amount of oil coming out around the aftermarket intake elbow after install where it hooks onto the black plastic hose with the large hose clamp? i had some oil coming out there i retightened every thing hope that fixed it.
i found out today why i have a small amount of oil leaking from around the black plastic intercoller piping...................intake elbows.com tells me that they had 5 of these go out with the mandrel bent piping not big enough for the intercooler tubing so no matter how tight i get the clamp some oil will get thru the cracks, the other all had this same problem............but Aaron at intake elbows is sending me a new one that does not have this problem 2nd day air, and i am sending the old one back.
