Do you want the entire bed side assembly which includes the inner side, or do you want just the skins?
Here is a couple of prices from some of the FTE sponser sites. Does not include truck freight, handling fees etc.
Auto Krafters: Bed skins 250.00 aftermarket each
National Parts Depot: Bed Skins OEM 458.00 each
Bed Skins aftermarket 249.00 each
Bed side assembly aftermarket: 424.00 each
Blue Oval Truck Parts: Bed Skins aftermarket 270.00 each
Bed side assembly: 414.00 each
Thanks bucks77ford. Yea, just the skins. I tried some of the sponsor sites but I have Dial-up and it was taking forever so that's why I posted. I hate dial-up. Once we get DSL up here in the sticks I'll be coming here (FTE) more often. I just takes soooo long for this site to load due to all the graphics & stuff. BTW did I mention I HATE DIAL-UP? Thanks for the info, Tyqmonn (Posford) Nick Monn Sr.
Dial up can make it real hard to do online research and ordering. When DSL becomes an option, I do recommend getting it. Makes life a whole lot easier. Glad I could help.
You may think about finding an entire bed that is rust free. I know that can be difficult, but If you keep your eyes open they do come up. Might be cheaper than replacing your skins and a lot less work. Just a thought.

Thanks Patrick, I didn't realize they were that expensive. We have a you-pull-it junkyard near me. They get $300 for a complete bed. Haven't seen any "GOOD" ones there yet but I'll keep my eyes open. For something that big I'd rather buy locally because shipping can be a nightmare. Thanks again, Tyqmonn.
Shipping is a nightmare when it's heavy. I bought a new OEM hood from Dennis Carpenter a while back and it was 375.00 for the hood, another 85.00 for crating, and another 101.00 for Truck Freight. YIKES!!!! I was impressed with the crating, however. Hood was in perfect condition.
I have a guy right now trying to get a 79 bed for me with the racetrack chrome, dual tanks, and is supposed to be in excellent condition. He wants 1650.00 for the bed. PRICEY. Can get a whole truck sometimes for much less than that. But, I guess I have to sometimes take what I can find. Not much to look at here in Minnesota. EVerything is rusted pretty bad. And to take a trip somewhere to get a bed or truck would cost me in the long run anyway. So, I'll see what happens. Keeping my options open.
When I put Skins on my 75 they were 170 ish, aftermarket. They Fit OK but not like OE. We changed a bunch of stuff like shaving the stake pockets and gas filler area, and didnt wanna waste the extra on the expensive stuff.
My suggestion, would be to call your local bodyshops, or look in the phonebook for a aftermarket parts supplier. Anything thats as big a a bedside, or hood, door, etc etc is gonna cost ALOT to have shipped.
I hear ya 4starcstms, Maybe I'll give that a try (the local bodyshops). If I can get them cheap enough I might just use outer skins and make a light framework to hold em. This is for my Pulling Truck, won't be used on the street. Thanks for the idea.
Tyqmonn.
Plus, when you have aftermarket parts shipped, especially if they are larger items, dents are a big problem when you get them. My brother ordered an aftermarket hood for his 86 ford and it took three times to get a hood that didn't have a "big" dent in it. The guage steel just isn't as strong, not to mention the "i don't care" attitude some people have when shipping the parts.
The truck freight may be the same for 2 skins rather than 1, I'm not sure. If that's the case, than it might not be a bad deal. The handling fee would probably be though.
