Mirror disassembly for LED mod

Resurrecting this old thread (again) ... I know it's old ... but anyone have new info?
I think I can figure out the wiring and what LED to get but clueless about removing the mirror "glass" so I can fish the wire. Hope someone has done this since, maybe has some new tips...

Been a few years but if u have a small pry bar, thats what I used - Very carefully & slowly go around the mirror & pry a little at a time. There are little rubber boots & tabs on the back side that will pop loose. Key is to take it slow, a little at a time. Once u see how they attach the second one will be easy. Dont need to remove the small convex mirror on the bottom. I broke mine b4 I figured that part out.

Yes - the mirror snaps into the tabs. There are plastic swivel fittings on back of mirror IIRC that push into the back motorized part. Cant help u with cover removal- Never tried that - Mirror removal is not that bad , except for the bottom small one. If I was closer I'd give u a hand. Let us know how it turns out. Are your mirrors electric ?
