Hi, I have a 2006 F350 and have had the truck to the dealer because it was blowing some blue smoke. They said they recalibrated the computer and that this would stop the blue smoke. 3 days later I let the truck warm, longer than usual, probably 15 minutes or so and when I left my driveway it started blowing a lot of blue smoke again. I was wondering if this could be misdiagnosed. Is it the EGR valve?

EGR Valve? Weird.. Mine was clogged and it never blew smoke.. Just caused my Tranny to Surge a lot... Sure you don't have a smurf stuck in there ;-)
It's solid blue smoke? I've heard of Black/White.. but Blue hmm weird...
Based on the length of time you let it idle, I suspect we're actually talking about a bluish-white smoke. That's normal and will often happen when you let it idle for a while (for say 15 minutes). The smoke should clear up after a minute or so, or after you've laid into the go-pedal and blown it out. Now if it is a darker blue smoke (not black, that's usually an over rich mixture), then that is a problem and could mean excessive oil's getting in. But the blue smoke usually has the smell of burning oil to go with it.
The only reason I brought up the EGR valve is because I believe I read a message pertaining to it and the blue smoke. Thanks to all of you for your input so far!
Thank you so much for adding that about the burning oil smell because I was wondering about that the other day. I had that also, but very mild. I almost forgot until you mentioned it.
