Intercooler Upgrade Question
I Was Wondering If Is A Benefit To Upgrade The Intercooler And If It Is What Brand Is The Best And What Improvements Did You Notice? I Have An Afe Stage 2 Intake , Accufab Intake Elbow, Banks Monster Turbo Back Exaust With Cat, Suncoast Tripple Loc Converter, And Sct Tuner With Custom Tunes From Innovative Diesel , And Full Auto-meter Gauges, Would A New Intercoller Give Me More Power And Lower Egt's? Thank You For All Your Help In Advance

the only reason i would suggest a intercooler swap, is due to the plastic sides. i have seen several blow out here where they are crimped together. with all the power adders you have sooner or later it will be a good idea. i know banks has a all aluminum cooler. it will not lower egts, but it should make more power by cooling the intake charge because i know the banks cooler is bigger.

I have the Banks Techni-cooler. It seemed to add some power, but I never dyno'd to see the true improvement. I switched out due to the plastic end tanks on the stock. I knew they wouldn't hold and I also wanted the bigger, better flowing CAC tubes and intake elbow.
