flamethrowers

Ive got a 2005 6.0 with dual 6in stacks. Ive been wondering if there was a way to run propane in them to make flamethrowers. Anybody got any ideas?

from what i saw they were farther up i would build a test pipe and test it first , you just need a set-up like a propane weedburner, and the regulator you can adjust the amount of flame that you want, i would think it is like lighting a torch you light the tip, good luck

Id make sure to fire the spark plugs first then let the propane in, you dont want propane to build up before igniting it could get messy.

If You Hook The Plugs Up To A Constant Hot Lead And Turning Them On Before You Flow The Propane Would Be A Good Idea If Not Then I Think You Might Be Right Saftey Goggles And Helmet Before Boom!!!

You definatly want the ignition to come on before introducing the fuel. I would suggest having the ignition needing to be enabled for the fuel solenoid to open. I would use a minimum of 5 second delay. Unless any of you are compressor mechanics you have never seen a muffler launched (24" dia muffler about 6' long) into flight by turning the fuel on before the ignition on in a TLA 8 Clark. Its not a pretty sight, please think this through before installing, especially in stacks right behind the cab.

Propane is a heavy gas if i remember right.
Could be a real problem trying that with stacks.
You would need to test that represents the exact conditions
where the gas will be introduced in relation to the lenght of the pipe.
Exhaust flow will help, but be safe.

Given the proper moment, of course

But there is a firewall between me and it- not a rear glass.
