I hope you're all well and keeping your rigs right-side-up. I'm wondering if any of you have had any experience exchanging seats from 1996 Broncos to 1997 and subsequent Expeditions. Are they interchangeable?
Anything is possible. I think that the seat tracks are differnet, but don't hold me to that. You could probably change out the seat tracks or drill new holes in the floor pan for the mounting bolts.
the older mounts will not fit floorpan with out work and bolt patern is different on seats but easy to fab to fit your mounts. I take it you have the rock hard seats .. I drive alot of newer trucks and seats suck. Later
According to 96probenj, the 97 expedition seats will bolt onto the 96 bronco seat tracks. He mentioned it in a post a while back called "Website in now live"
We have put in the seats out of an Expedition into my Wife's 88 Bronco - and man, it looks AWESOME!
Check it out http://www.broncobabe4x4.com - click the button for the 1988 Bronco towards the bottom of the page Loads of before and after pics (for all of our projects) - it came out super, and yeah, we had to swap the rails, but not a problem AT ALL!
