Yakima your bronco has 1/2 ton axles most likely not going to work. It seems you are bound and determined to lift your truck. Suspension is not something to be cheep about my recomendation is to save up your money and get the kit DESIGNED for your ride.
a lift for a 78 bronco is real cheap! from skyjacker starting at 220.00 with rear blocks no shocks, 700.00 with rear springs and shocks all the way around. thats cheap!
these prices were found in the october 06 issue of petersons 4wheel and off road pg 84 national wheel and tire add. couldnt find a newer issue on hand. im sure the prices havent changed much. i got about 2 grand in the lift on my jeep tj!
shackle flip for rear (sky manufacturing , 135 bucks.)
front lift coils, 4 inch (JBG, 115)
drop pitman arm, (JBG, 65)
drop trak bar bracket (JBG 32)
C bushings, 7 degree (26 bucks)
373$, you can do it cheaper, with blocks, and no track bar or drop pitman arm bracket, but its unnecesary. the shackle flip kit lets you use your stock springs, and itll flex real nice, and it adds a stronger componet to your suspension system, theyre made of 1/4 inch plate. dont use blocks, thats just dumb. this is real easy to do yourself, ive done it to buddies trucks, and to my own.
