TRANS Problem?
I have a 2003 F-350 psd with S&B air filter/box, mbrp exhaust, and Edge juice w/ attitude. The check engine light keeps coming on but the OBD-II will not work w/ any scan tools. I took the Edge off and when the light came back on i took it in and got it scanned. Had about 10 fault codes all related to intake/exhaust as expected. Last night, with the edge disconected, I unhooked the batteries for 24 hours to clear the pcm/ecm. Today I took it out for a drive soon after re-connecting the batteries, leaving the egde disconnected. As I got on the highway i gave it some gas and as it went from 1st to 2nd, the revs shot way up and then it slammed into 2nd hard. Then it surged a lot. Unlike others that I have read, i have no check engine light and the tow/haul light did not flash. I shut er down for a while then took it out on the road again with no problems. I figure it was just the ECM re-learning after haveing the edge hooked up for so long. Does anyone agree? Thanks

I am not a diesel expert, but I would first suspect a vacuum leak. The Trans issue could be indirectly related to air issue. I have seen loose clamps on cold air intakes cause a varity of problems. So go back over every connection on the intake.

Any time you disconnect your battery, you have to "teach" your torqueshift transmission how to work.
