Let's say I'm very annoyed and disappointed with the Bolt Supply House. A couple weeks I lost a caliper slide bolt on my car. Ford couldn't get it anymore. Anyways it's a metric socket cap bolt Grade 10.9 10x1.25x80 (requires an allen key to turn and only a 8.8 grade). I gave them a call and they said they had some. I had my brother ship it by bus so I could get back to the city during the Christmas holidays. I receive the bolt and it is a regular metric bolt. Being frustrated, I made it work and made it home but haven't driven my car since I don't want to break the bolt and cause an accident.
I later gave them a call to special order the bolt I need and he says he can get it. So I have my brother pick them up for me since I don't have a vehicle. So when he get's home and hands me the bolts. Guess what they are a regular F*****G 10.9 metric bolts . If you excuse me I'm going to be in the garage taking a file to the bolts to make them take a 15mm socket instead of 17mm.
Dueller why not check Amigos wreckers and see if they can get a bolt you need off one of the wrecks there and save the greif.
Bolt supply seems to be changing. They now have a minimun purchase now. It has to be more than $5.00 and they do not want to sell just one bolt at a time. I use to go there and get an odd ball bolt that I need and don't have. Now they want me to buy several.
Whats happening who knows.
Well, I originally got the rear spindles from Amigo's to convert my rear drums to disc brakes. It's just rear discs were optional and were put on very few cars. I've already got the bolt on the car.
