Distributor Advance Curve Kit
I was thinking about running the Mr. Gasket Ford Advance Curve Kit (part# 925D) on my stock Duraspark II distributor. The kit provides full advance between 2,000 and 2,800 rpms and is described as "you get maximum power and engine acceleration." Has anyone else used this kit? Are the effects noticeable? What, if any, are the drawbacks to reaching full advance between 2,000 and 2,800 rpms?

I have that kit hanging in my shop. I had intended to use it one day. What I did was take my truck into a custom tune shop and let them set my dist for overall performance. I'm in high altitude. What ever they did I see improved gas mileage. I know anything over 45 total degrees is too much. So without a dist. machine you are guessing for the most part. That's what I decided. So I found it cheaper to take it to a shop that specialized in performance.
