Hello gents. this is my first post on fte. I have a 1984 f-250 extended cab long bed four wheel drive with a newly rebuilt 460 thats built for power. over 400 HP. My question is. Is there any equal lenght header that will fit on this truck. The engine looks too tight to the frame. And also. Ive been battin around the idea of cutting the back of the cab up and making it have rear doors like the newer extended cabs do. Has anyone ever attempted this? And if not is there any advice anyone can give me as to whether its even possible or not?

Don't know about the headers but, you could and probably should use a crossover pipe between the two sides up just as close to the engine as possible. That will equalize the two sides and make up for such differences.

Trying to make the rear of the cab like the newer models with rear doors would weaken the cab a heck of a lot.
You would have to find a way to reinforce the cab so it isn't too fragile.
