These are estimates, I have not purchased any in a while. VC gasket = $40; UVC harness = $30. As for the repair parts for the pins and wiring I don't remember, it's been over 3 years since I bought them. Call you local IH dealer and they will quote you part prices.

Does any one know if I can get the pins or the pins w/ 6" wire from advanced or auto zone?
I got everthing apart, under valve cover wire harness & valve cover gasket back on. Started on the engine wire harness & I have 3 pins to replace. As you know this is sunday morning & no dealership open.

how hard is it to change the pins in the wire harness? How do you go about it? Which is better, just the pins or the pins w/ 6" wire?

It's not to hard to put in new pins. If the wires are good all the way to the pins, just replace the pins, (they have to be crimped on). If the wires are bad near the pins use the pins wtih 6" wire, then cut, splice & solder.

To replace the pins, remove the plastic connector cover, then use the pin tool (preferred method) or a small pick to press the lock on the pin and then slide the pin out of the connector housing. Put new pin on wire and push into housing until it locks.
