Is the s250 the same size as the 873 and the s300 a bit bigger?
They`re all the same size machine (873-S250-300), the S300 is 3-4 more hp, afew hundred lbs heavier and 500lbs more lift.
Do you have steel tire tracks for your 873?
Yes, I have a set but they are a pain to put on and almost as big a one to take off, they weigh 800 lbs.
I can`t load the Bobcat with tracks in the back of the Ford Louisville 8000 Gravel truck as I doubt the Bobcat could climb the incline of the steel ramps.
Also it won`t fit inside the box with the tracks on as it is be too wide.
Other wise the tracks are a great traction aid in wet hilly areas making a huge difference.
Late last summer I bought a Ford 800 tractor that`s abit bigger than a Ford 8/9N and is around 35 hp.
Hope I have time this summer to play with it, last summer was just too busy or raining.
We rebuilt the carb and installed new plugs, seems that one of them only fired part of the time.
It runs good now, just waiting for an owner`s manual I ordered in early Dec.
PS. How long have you had the F3?
Yes, I have a set but they are a pain to put on and almost as big a one to take off, they weigh 800 lbs.
How do they go on and how much $$$? Have you ever looked at the rubber ones? With all the snow, its going to be a problem around the cows this spring. Everyone here is too busy to be wasting time with equipment that cant do the job so we are trying to plan ahead for spring.
The the rubber tracks weren`t avilable for afew years now, only the steel. The rubber ones were around a $1,000 or so more than the steels ones, around $5,200 to $5,500.
There are Bobcats models that are equipped with rubber tracks only, no wheels/tires just tracks, they cost about $10,000 more over a tire type machine to buy. These prices are approximate, I haven`t checked them for a while.
This year when it was so wet there were alot of rubber tracked skid steer loaders floating around all over Saskatoon. Pardon the pun.
All the manufactures have them, not just Bobcat.
