I have a 2007 F-350 CC 4WD. Bought a new Kenwood deck and Boston Acoustic speakers and a PAC (Pacific Accessory Corporation) steering wheel interface. The interface is so I can use the audio steering wheel controls with the new deck. PAC interface is a "SWI-ALP). Tryed to hook it up but cannot get it to program. It appears to me that the #18 pin connector in the factory connection does not have a wire going to it; the #18 pin connector is the one PAC says to hook their white wire up to.
Anybody out there installed one of these things an an 07 before??

Yes.. I have one in my 07'.
The -ALP part# is for most newer alpine systems but says "This adapter is also compatible with select JVC and Kenwood radios with wired remote inputs".
You may want to check w/ your dealer to see if your head unit is compatible.
Mine is on an Eclipse and it works pretty good... not quite as responsive as on the factory radio, but still better than taking my hands off the wheel.
I got the problem worked out. It was a defective interface unit, my installations were correct the whole time. I am like you though, the interface is not as sensitive as the factory set-up, sometimes you have to push the control buttoms twice to get them to work. Thanks for the reply.
