Need some help with axles
My dad has a 89 Ford F-250 pick-up std cab 4x4.. I need to know what axle it has up front. heres the info he gave me.
built- 04/89
front gvw 4600
rear gvw 6084
F289
Axle 05
vin is 1FTHF26H5KL813745
I called me local ford dealer they where no help..
please can someone help me...

Well there is not a 05 axle in 1989, must be a C5. A C5 is a 4.10:1 LS rear end and as it is just C5 the front would be NL. If it were C52 it would be LS on both ends the way I read these codes. The front could also be a 4.09:1 axle, there should be a tag on it with some numbers and letters to tell you what you have.
