NEVER have YOUR engine running during the time the other person is cranking his starter motor when offering a jump-start to another vehicle.
Running your engine to initially install some small amount of charge into the other vehicle's battery is OK, but SHUT YOURS OFF BEFORE the other person cranks!
This procedure may just save your alternator diodes.

iv had the truck sins september, and it idle smoother then other times. though its only started to turn off on idle on me these last 3 or 4 days now. and i noticed one hick up like a week ago.
