Well I bought a 2003 F350 6.0 powerstroke 4X4 with 50,000 miles on it from Suzuki of El Cajon Ca. I noticed it started leaking fluid from the rear main seal. So I took it back to the dealer and they would repair it under my extended service warranty. They said it was a rear main seal and replaced it, the I called back and they said that they had to drop the trans mission again to replace a sencor that was leaking. They called me to pick it up tonight and the service manager Miguel said that it seemed a little sluggish. Well I thought the he just wasn't used to Diesels. I drove from above Temecula to go to get it which is about 75 miles. I get there and pick up the truck, it seems to be missing and ideling rough. So I leave and head twords the high way and there is no power when I put the pedle to the floor I barley move. So I get to the end of the block and I'm about to turn around at the stop light. Their is a slight grade that I'm on and it will not move and I'm holding up traffic. So I put it in netural and back into Drive, finally I move up and around the corner. So I get back to the dealership and let them know whats up. He wanted to take it for a test drive (Manager of sales). As we took off he said OH I see and immediately turned around. He said no problem buddy it nothing big they just washed it and got the SPARK PLUGS WET, I said no way diesels dont have spark plugs. He said oh thats right. What could be the problem, no fluid in the tranny/tourq converter, did it do more damage driving it. HELP PLEASE!

Someone will chime in.. But please tell me that warranty wasnt for that dealership? If that guy said spark plugs, I'd be towing that thing to another place with someone who has common sense..

The best piece of advice I can give you.. And i'm sure others will agree.. Take it somewhere else... Take it to a better ford dealer.. It's going to suck on the price to tow it but in the end it'll be worth it.. You'll end up with less trips to them..
If you want, if you havent already, send me your VIN and tomorrow morning I'll run an OASIS and see if there were any MAJOR repairs done on it..
Thanks for the advice, I'll send you my vin in a PM or in this thread. I appreciate the help!
No problem.. I feel your pain.. I just bought mine and I had problems.. Although I didn't know my 36k Bumper-To-Bumper expired.. Truck only has 27k miles.. I wanted Mac Haik outside Austin to service it because they are the largest Ford dealer here with a great track record.. But instead I took it to the Ford House I bought it from.. They are about 70 miles away.. Took them 2 days to fix my truck, I told them I wasn't leaving until everything was fixed.. And the fact I only had the truck 2 weeks they warrantied it.. Flushed my tranny, fixed my passenger window, checked the head gaskets because it appeared this truck blew gaskets at 24k miles in Nov 06.. Not cool..
This happened the second week, Fuel filter housing gaskit o-ring thingy was leaking diesel all over the drive way, the Gm of the company came up and reimbursed me that day, then the oil they came up and got the truck on a flat bed, Its been a week that they have had it. I feel up the creek with out a paddle.
As the Corporal stated, take it somewhere else. That means a Ford Service Department with Certified 6.0 Technicians. If you're anywhere close to Fontana you can take your PSD to Sunrise Ford, they have Certified 6.0 Techs. It sounds like there's no boost, did you check the trans fluid level though?
Isn't that diesel related and covered under the 100,000 mile warranty? I would definitely have it serviced somewhere more reputable. Unless the convertor was locked up I wouldn't think you would describe it as loss of power if there was no fluid in the tranny. You would more likely notice the higher rpm's and lack of motion. Good luck.

they told me if I wanted them to take it to the ford dealer and the rear main showed signs ob high temps that it wouldnt be covered. So I told the to just go under the extended warranty and it cost me $100 insted of the inspection fee ford would charge.
That's a load of BS. It would only cost you 100 at the ford dealer regardless because it's under 100K. I hope they have the correct tool to install the rear main with the wear sleeve, cause if they don't then they'll mess it up. You can't just drive it in like the old days. I don't know where they come off with that high temp stuff either. If it was hot enough to damage the rear main the motor would be toast. They obviously don't have a clue wtf they're doing. Take it to a certified 6.0 tech and quit messing with the amateurs!!!!!
IMO, having a Suzuki dealer work on this engine / tranny is a critical error. It is doubtful that they any intimate knowledge or skills related to this truck. It sounds as if you purchased an after market warranty. No telling if a Ford dealer will honor that. You may have to pay up front and hope that your warranty underwriter reimburses you.
Even though it sounds like your dealer is doing all they can...Get to an experienced Ford dealer with certified 6.0 techs. ASAP.
